Last week was held Valencia Habitat Fair 2016, a huge showcase to keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in the furniture, lighting, decoration and home textiles sector. In addition, Feria Hábitat Valencia 2016 is held together with Cevisama (ceramic tiles, bathroom equipment, natural stone, etc.), Maderalia Selección (materials and decoration) and Espacio Cocina (technical and decorative solutions for the kitchen). Thanks to this extensive photographic report with 60 images you will be able to be aware of the latest in home decor.
Feria Hábitat Valencia has more than 50 years of experience and is the only international fair in the habitat and decoration sector held in Spain. I am lucky enough to have it quite close, so this year I have decided that I was not going to miss it.
In this photographic report I wanted to reflect all the trends and novelties that I discovered both at Habitat and at the Cevisama, Maderalia and Espacio Cocina fairs that are held together.
Timeless, without norms, without rules…
Every piece of furniture, every object, every environment that I discovered in this stand literally left me speechless. A style with eclectic touches that masterfully combines contemporary furniture, recycled wood, fabrics with textures and daring colors, chrome and handicrafts to create a different and timeless decoration with a lot of personality.
For example, these tables combine contemporary style with natural touches thanks to the shells and wood that can be seen under the glass.
The reclaimed and recycled wood They are the main protagonists of many of the pieces of furniture in this exhibitor.
Unique decorative objects, many of them made with recycled elements such as bottles and the painting with magazine pages.
Also a great idea to recycle those shoes that you have worn twice because they destroy your feet.
In the following image you can see a simply spectacular mural with great contrasts: on the one hand the coldness of the metal and on the other the warmth of the wood.
This style of decoration shows that metallic tones can coexist perfectly with the most natural ones.
From time to time a touch of singularity surprises, pure design that does not leave indifferent.
I Love Industrial
I adore the industrial style and at the fair it could be found in its Urban Chic line.
As a curious detail this Seat 600 that can serve as inspiration for small decorative objects.
Like this van seen in Cevisama. I especially liked the combination of mint green and black.
It was precisely in Cevisama where it was possible to see the pure industrial style.
Renovated classics at Feria Hábitat Valencia 2016
We have always heard that the classic style it is timeless, but there is no doubt that there is a big difference between the classic style of several decades ago and the current one.
Both the doors and sides of this piece of furniture are lined with chenille fabric gray, a good idea to renovate old furniture or add value to it.
The warmth of wood at Feria Habitat Valencia 2016
At Feria Habitat Valencia 2016, wood could be found in its purest state, both in furniture and in objects that make you feel that you are in the middle of nature.
In the following images you can see several examples of the elegance that wood transmits.
I don’t know to what extent this wooden bicycle will be functional and practical, but there is no doubt that it is very decorative.
All the trends in lighting at Feria Hábitat Valencia 2016
At Feria Hábitat Valencia 2016 there were all the lighting trendsstarting with chandeliers or type chandelier that bring glamor to any room, both in its most classic version and in the most up-to-date.
Screens with geometric shapes could not be missing from this fair either.
Another trend that is hitting hard are the lamps with vintage light bulbs in sight. You can see how to make an industrial style lamp in this link.
Original proposals with industrial touches and customizable screens with blackboard paint were also present at the fair (in this link you have different homemade chalkboard paint recipes).
The following wood-based sconces are going to be part of my list of pending DIY projects.
On the hunt for unique pieces at Feria Hábitat Valencia 2016
I particularly liked some of the pieces that I saw at the fair, such as this contemporary-style console that combined storage space with visual lightness.
On the other hand, although I did not try them, these armchairs gave me comfort and were ideal for small spaces. Of the two models, my favorite is white, it is my favorite of the two models.
In the following image you can see a table that fascinated me. I had seen similar ones on the internet but live it was simply spectacular.
At Habitat there was also a small display of outdoor furniture. These armchairs, for example, can become an improvised bed to sleep curled up.
Although to sleep under the stars, a bed like the one in the following image is better, although it requires something more than a terrace where it can be placed.
Ideas for bathrooms at Feria Hábitat Valencia 2016 and Cevisama
Another one of my weaknesses is matte black sinks. They are not very practical in areas like the one I live in due to the limescale of the water, but it cannot be denied that they are very elegant.
In this other image you can see a bathroom with a retro air.
This proposal seen at Cevisama brings us back to the marble finishes in wall tiles that were so fashionable a couple of decades ago.
Kitchen space at Valencia Fair
In Espacio Cocina they could be seen from the most modern proposals such as porcelain countertops with integrated induction.
As well as the latest trends in cabinets and coatings.
did you know Valencia Habitat Fair? Have you ever gone? For me this has been the first edition I have attended and I doubt it will be the last since I have come with a lot of ideas in my head. I hope that this extensive photographic report that I have prepared has also inspired you.
