Renovating a lamp with chalkboard paint

The chalkboard paint It can also be used to renovate furniture and objects, as in this case. Its matte black color is a trend and combines perfectly with any style and environment.

It is very common to find a floor lamp of this same style in any home. I was already tired of mine and wanted to give it a more up-to-date look. To do this, what I did was paint it with blackboard spray paint and draw a zentangle motif on the screen with chalk.

In this link you can see the video tutorial with the entire process to renovate a lamp with blackboard spray paint.

Letters decorated with different techniques

There are many ideas to decorate DM letters and here I show you three different ways to do it. On the one hand you can customize them with the decoupage technique using decorated napkins and repositionable spray. In this link you will find the step by step to decorate a DM letter with decoupage.

Another option is to create some kind of decorative effect such as a marbled. For this I have used a different technique to the one I have used on other occasions (you can see it in this link). Do not miss this tutorial to make a marbling without water with spray chalk paint.

Finally, if you have a party or celebration you can decorate letters with glitter. For this I have followed the following steps:

1º.- The letters are painted with matte black paint.
2º.- Once the paint has dried, masking tape is placed in the areas that you want to decorate with glitter.
3º.- Paint it with gold paint (or whatever color the glitter is going to be) and immediately pour glitter over it, without letting it dry.
4º.- Once the paint has dried, the glitter that has not adhered is removed by sticking bodybuilder tape on it and varnish is applied to finish fixing it.
5º.- For the glitter stars, follow the same steps but on cardboard.

Customize a beach carrycot or ballerinas

customize the beach baskets with napkins It’s a trend and the motifs with flamingos too, so it occurred to me to combine both to decorate my carrycot with the decoupage and stencil technique.

Undoubtedly what I liked the most about this DIY was the contrast between the silhouette of the flamingo in which you can see the wicker pattern, and the background decorated with the napkin that hides it.
