Paint the door white
White is a color that conveys purity, spaciousness and calm. In addition, it is suitable for any home and decorative style. If used and combined well, it will always be a success.
In this specific case, it was decided to paint the back of the entrance door to the house in white. The steps that were followed were the following:
- Sand the surface with 120 grit sandpaper.
- Protect the hardware, around the flashings and the floor.
- Apply a coat of primer and wait 24 hours.
- Give a first layer of white enamel JOTUN MAJESTIC Radiant Satin. This water-based enamel can be used on wood, metal, walls and PVC, providing a very hard and durable finish. In addition, it also has the advantage that it dries quickly, does not splash, does not smell and does not yellow over time.
- Sand with medium grit sandpaper and apply a second coat after a minimum of 12 hours.
- Wait 24 hours and smooth the surface with a 500 or higher grit water-based sandpaper.
Once the door has been painted, it is recommended to install a stop with a cushioned impact to avoid damaging the paint on the door or on the wall. In this sense, the Inofix adhesive stop and magnetic retainer have the following advantages:
- It acts as a stop with cushioned impact, since the magnet remains hidden.
- By pressing the door against the stop, the metal plate attracts the magnet and the door is held.
- By separating the door from the stop, the magnet automatically returns to its rest position.
For its installation you just have to clean the floor and the door of dust and dirt. Next, the position where the stop will go will be calculated and the protective paper will be peeled off from the base to fix it to the ground. Finally, the projector paper will be removed from the metal plate to fix it to the door.

When we get home we need a place to leave our things, but without forgetting that it is a transit area. Therefore, both the furniture and accessories that are chosen must be adapted to the space to make the most of it without occupying too much.
