We are going to teach you, step by step, the procedure so that you can make a special decorative lamp for Halloween.
We have cataloged this work within the Children’s Crafts for Halloween because it is suitable for all ages. So, if you have little ones at home, you can now get down to work with them.
We will need the following materials and tools:
- Tongs.
- Cuter.
- Marker pen.
- regular and scotch tape double face
- Universal glue. If it is instant, better.
- Plastic container (medium or large size jar).
- White Christmas lights.
- Bandages (a couple of rolls).
- Eyes.
- Tubes (optional).
- Flanges (optional).
- Drill and drill bit for metal (optional)
- Stapler (optional).

We start with the tutorial for the special Halloween children’s lamp:
Step 1: On both the lid and the neck of the boat, mark and cut the place where the cable will pass through. Use the cutter or tongs.
Step 2: You can do interior lighting in two ways. You can simply insert the LEDs inside the pot, in which case go directly to step 5. But if you want to better distribute the light, follow steps 2, 3 and 4.
In our case we have used two little jars of food for turtles, which come in handy. The first thing is to fix one of the small lids to the inside of the can lid.
We have used a stapler. But you can also use glue, wire, a small screw, or any other method that fulfills its mission.
Step 3: To obtain the necessary length, we have drilled several holes in the two tubes and we have joined them with flanges.
We have also made some more holes that will help us to fix the lights.
Step 4: It’s time to install the lighting. At the height of the first led, we fasten the cable to the tube with a clamp. And we begin to wind it around him.
When we reach the upper end, we hold the cable with another clamp, and we roll it down again.
We repeat this operation until the cable is completely wound.
Step 5: We fix the illuminated tube and present it in its position.
Step 6: We start with the bandage. First of all we have to cover the bottom of the boat which will be the top of the lamp. To do this, we cut several strips of bandage, put them double and fix them with adhesive tape.
Once this is done, we begin to wrap the bandage around the boat, making several passes both horizontally and crosswise.
PTo give a more casual look, we knot two ends.
Help yourself with double-sided tape.
Step 7: If the cover is of a strong color, as is the case, we put a bit of masking tape around it, to avoid as much as possible that the interior light projects the color outwards.
Step 8: We put the lid, with the lighting, in its place; and we bandage it so that the lamp is completely covered.
Step 9: With universal glue, we glue the two eyes. On this occasion we have used some purchased in a store of everything to a hundred. However, if you cannot get them, you can also make them with small black and white circles on cardboard or foam.
Step 10: Finally, we give several cuts to the bandage to obtain a more aged appearance.
Clever!! All that remains is to try it and see the lighting effects it produces.
