I’ve already told you that I’m a sucker for plants, not even the most resistant ones can stand me, for this reason (and for the good of the plant world) I usually look for other more durable solutions to give my home a green touch. If you don’t have a hand for plants either, don’t give up on them, with this video tutorial you will learn how to make some felt succulent plants that they will always be fresh and like the first day.
Succulent or succulent plants are characterized by their ability to retain water, which is why their leaves, stem and root are thicker than those of other plants.
As several months ago I made some felt poinsettias (in this link you can see the step by step), it occurred to me that I could make small succulent plants from this same material, since its thickness and texture reminds me of them.
Materials to make felt succulents
There are very few materials What are we going to need to make felt succulent plants:
– Sheets of felt in different shades of green and purple or maroon.
– Scissors.
– A hot glue gun.
How to make felt succulent plants step by step
First cut two squares of felt each of a color and 12 centimeters on a side. They overlap and intersect on both diagonals to obtain four triangles. These four triangles are cut in half to transform them into 8 triangles of the same size.
Of those eight triangles, two are taken to cut them in half again. In this way they obtain six triangles of the same size and four smaller ones. The following pattern shows all the cuts made and the triangles that are obtained:
In addition, four of the largest triangles will have a cut in the base and one side will be mounted on another to give it the shape of a leaf.
The next step will be join both colors of feltTo do this, a drop of glue is placed on the corners of the triangles.
Next, the smaller triangles will be rolled up on themselves, taking into account that each point remains on one side, then the same is done with the two remaining triangles and, finally, with the four triangles with the central cut.
