Renovate the floor without works with vinyl tiles

It has been more than a year since I placed self adhesive vinyl tiles on the stoneware floor of our kitchen and to date I have no complaints (you can see the result in this link).

Vinyl floors allow you to renew the pavement easily and quickly. They are resistant and easy to maintain, and there are also many designs that adapt perfectly to any style (you can consult this link to learn more about vinyl floors).

They have a thickness of about 2.3 millimeters, so it is not usually necessary to lower the access doors after their placement, and to cut them you only need a cutter. On the other hand, they are not only marketed in self-adhesive tiles, but can also be found in sheets with click installation and rolls that require a special glue for their installation.

Renovate the floor without works with Bolon

The Bolon coatings they are made in Sweden and are made from woven vinyl that mimics plant fibres, providing a natural look similar to carpet. Its thickness is 3.8 millimeters and it is available in 2×25 meter rolls or 50×50 centimeter self-adhesive tiles.

Its resistance is good and it is recommended for areas of intense traffic, although burns may occur near sources of heat and discoloration with frequent rubbing of furniture. Its use in humid areas is also not recommended, so it would not be suitable for bathrooms, for example, but rather for bedrooms or the living room.

The epoxy paint It is usually the most recommended when it comes to painting the floor since it is the one that best adheres to any type of material, it is also very resistant and is a spectacular option to change the floor of any room. Its finish is glossy, although there are techniques to obtain a more matte result.

In case of painting on ceramic floors, it is recommended to putty the joints so that we have a continuous pavement. If we are going to paint on wood, first of all, it will have to be sanded to completely remove the layer of varnish, then all the dust must be vacuumed so that it does not stick to the paint and spoil the final result.
