When I go to a hotel or restaurant for the first time I look at the decoration because there can always be some interesting detail that inspires you, however yesterday I went to a bar that was brimming with inspiration everywhere. In the reform of this premises they had opted for decorate with recycled items and the end result had been truly amazing.

Before entering the premises, the mirror with a carved silver frame contrasts with the simplicity of the wooden shelf. This idea can be easily transferred to any home, it is also a good example that it can be decorate a small hall with very few elements.

On the shelf we can see that they have been used recycled bottles as candle holdersfor this only part of the neck of the bottle has been cut.

The melted wax of the candles on the bottles adds a special charm and is a detail that can be applied to decorations when setting the table, for example.

You can see more examples on how to recycle glass bottles at this link and at this link.

Once we pass the door, the first thing we see is a small recovered console that rests on a wall covered with tile decorated in shades of blue and yellow. This decoration can also serve as inspiration for the hall of our house.

The tile also extends over the floor area adjacent to the wall, giving a sense of continuity as well as creating a carpet-like feel to “dress” the floor. It is undoubtedly the main point of attention in the hall and invites the diner to enter the premises.

In the bar there are two different areas: one for tapas and a small room with tables. In the tapas area, there is a wall decorated with latticework and some hanging lamps that have been made by recycling wicker baskets.

In the living room area, the fact of using wooden boxes as a bottle rack is striking, an idea that can serve us perfectly to store wine bottles in a creative as well as practical way.

But without a doubt in this area the undisputed protagonist is the frieze made with wooden tablets. The different shades and the printed letters make this highly decorative, as well as providing warmth.

You can learn yourself how to make boards similar to the ones in this frieze at this link.

In the following image you can see how a corner of the living room has been used to create a reading area. Considering how decorative the wall frieze is, all you need to do is add a few simple shelves to create a bookcase.

For the tables have been used recycled wooden pallet boards on which a glass has been placed. This idea can be perfectly adapted to both an office table and a small side table for the living room.

I have to admit that it was difficult for me to focus on the letter since I could only look at all sides, everything I saw fascinated me.
