Sometimes we run out of time to buy or give a gift and we choose to give money. It may also be the case that the person to whom we are going to give the money prefers it that way for various reasons (they are saving to buy something or simply need it). With these three gift cards You can do it in an original and careful way, it will be a detail that whoever receives it will surely appreciate.
To make these cards I have used three basic materials: colored and decorated cardboard, double-sided tape and scissors. Also, depending on the type of decoration I have used a hole punch, a permanent marker and washi tape.
The basic pattern It is very simple since it is made up of three rectangles. The top and bottom are 16 centimeters long by 7 centimeters high. The center rectangle is 16 centimeters long by 9 centimeters wide. The bottom rectangle also has quarter-inch-wide tabs on the sides. In the following image you can see the base pattern:
Keep in mind that the stitched area should not be cut, but folded. To make it you can use a cutter.
Finally, these measures are designed to store euro bills but can be adapted to the different sizes of bills from other countries.
Card to give money to girls and women
Is card has a feminine touch since the upper part forms a kind of lace. To make it, the base pattern is taken but the upper part is cut in a rounded way, with the center longer than the sides. A hole punch is used to create the socket.
On the other hand, self-adhesive tape is placed on the tabs and the card is folded as if it were an envelope. Finally, a smooth cardboard is cut with a pair of pinking scissors and it is stuck with the self-adhesive tape so that the die-cut of the lace can be seen.
Card to gift money in the shape of Santa Claus
Is santa claus card It can go very well for boys and men since it has a more masculine aspect than the previous one. To make it, we take the base pattern, trace it on red cardboard and place the double-sided self-adhesive tape on the tabs. Later we cut a piece in a white cardboard with both wavy edges and we also stick it with the double-sided adhesive tape. Finally we will make the belt with black cardboard and the buckle with gold cardboard.
Money gift card with snowman
She’s nice card with a snowman It can be used to give money to boys and girls. To make it, we will cut the card using the base pattern and assemble it by placing the double-sided self-adhesive tape on the tabs.
On the other hand, on a white cardboard we will draw a snowman and we will paint it with a permanent or indelible black marker. To finish decorating it I used washi tape to place a scarf and a ribbon on the hat.
Finally we will attach the snowman to the card with double-sided self-adhesive tape and cut the side of the card following the silhouette of the snowman.
