3 original and different t-shirt bags

original and different t-shirt bags

to weave your own original t-shirt bags It is not necessary to know how to make very complicated crochet stitches. These three examples of bags will teach you how to combine different techniques to obtain a different result that will make your bag stand out from the rest.

The trapillo bags that you will see below have been woven using three basic crochet stitches: chain, half double crochet and single crochet. Combining these points with different techniques, a different result has been achieved that stands out for its originality.

Cross stitch is a type of embroidery that uses X-shaped stitches. Normally it is embroidered on canvas but it can also be done on crochet as you will see below.

To make the base, start by weaving a chain with the width that the bag will have (in this case 25 stitches), then successive rows with half double crochet until reaching the desired height (30 laps).

The next step will consist of “embroidering” the scheme that you want to make by passing the yarn between the crochet holes. To do this, with the help of a safety pin, a strand of yarn is inserted through the holes of the woven yarn. It is then crossed diagonally and the operation is repeated with the opposite corner to form an X or cross.

When the chosen scheme is completed, the rug is folded in half and the sides are joined with a single crochet. Finally, the interior is lined with fabric, a zipper is placed and it is adorned with a tassel made with leftover t-shirt yarn strips.

Finally, when combining crochet and cross stitch it is important to take into account the following:

1º.- The ball of trapillo that is used for the work of crochet and for the cross stitch must be of the same thickness. Otherwise, the work could become deformed and not look good.

2º.- The number of holes that are created in the trapillo once woven is much lower than that of the scrim fabric, so it will be necessary to look for a design that fits these dimensions.

To make a bag of this type, the same steps as the previous one have been followed when weaving the yarn base, although the direction of the stitch to weave the lid has been changed.

On the other hand, two acrylic molds have been used to fix the mosaic and some wooden balls to make the tassels. In this link you will find the detailed step by step and with images to make a t-shirt yarn and mosaic bag.

This bag combines two fashionable colors such as rose quartz and serenity blue. To weave it, a first strip was made with a pink half-high stitch, another wider one with blue yarn and it was finished with pink.

Once the desired height had been reached, a pink flap was knitted. Next, strips of the same color were passed horizontally under the dots (alternating one yes and one no). In this way an original grid effect was created.

Finally, the interior was lined with fabric, the sides were joined with a single crochet and a button with a magnet was placed on the flap for closure.
