Christmas showcase with recycled objects

decorate at christmas recycling

For decorate a christmas window It is not necessary to spend a lot of money or buy tons of tinsel and glitter, it can be done in an original way and at a very low cost using recycled elements. If we also add a good handful of illusion, we will be able to create a space with a true Christmas spirit.

The last time I went to the owner, she told me if I wanted to decorate the window with some of my crafts. She is also passionate about recycling and handmadeShe is also very good at everything related to sewing.

Although I don’t have much idea (or any) about window dressing, I told him yes, after all, what counted was the intention and I thought that with enthusiasm one could make a nice Christmas window display.

The space was quite limited, it was less than a meter and a half wide, and it also had a plant that occupied part of it. First of all, what I did was take advantage of the bar that was hanging from the ceiling to wrap an organza fabric with silver motifs around it.

I also hung from it some angels that he had made with pinecones (you can see the step by step in this link).

And between angel and angel, I placed some ballerinas made with paper napkins (you can see the step by step in this link).

What do some dancers paint with some angels in a Christmas decoration? At first it seems that not much but the truth is that they brought a lot of movement to the whole and a touch of originality.

Next I went on to decorate the floor area, for this I placed some fruit boxes that I covered with the same fabric that I had used to decorate the upper bar. On them I placed a birth made with mop heads what is precious?

These figures had been made by my hairdresser and for this she had used a plastic bottle to assemble the body and provide it with support. He had made the head with foam balls lined with EVA foam and the clothes with scraps of cloth. Honestly, I don’t know if I would be able to do something similar since you can see her good hand for sewing and that helps a lot to make the final result so spectacular.

To finish I put a garland of lights with geometric motifs that he had recently made and that reflects little stars around him.

Thus, With recycled objects and a lot of enthusiasm, you can decorate a Christmas shop window. It will not be the most beautiful or luxurious but it is unique, there is no other like it because each of its elements is made by hand, using recycled materials or very cheap and easy to get.

would you dare to decorate a christmas window? Personally, I think that the care that is put into this type of thing is more important when it is done for a friend than the professionalism of the final result. What do you think?
