It is true that there are many ways to clean the floor of patios and terraces, but few of these alternatives are really efficient or even comfortable.

However, from a few years to this part, this has changed radically. The terraces and patios have managed to position themselves as a central part of the homes, where you can enjoy the outdoors, and spend long and pleasant moments.

Apart from the daily or weekly cleaning that a patio or terrace entails, which includes collecting fallen leaves, sweeping and watering, etc., below we will focus on the thorough cleaning that we must do at least once a year to maintain our patio or terrace in perfect condition.

Steps to be carried out to clean the floor
The time to thoroughly clean the floor of our patio or terrace is in spring, once the rains and bad weather have passed.
The first thing we must do is corner all the furniture and elements that we have in between. Or better yet, if we have a place to put them during cleaning, completely vacate the patio or terrace.
Once this is done and before putting the water in between, we must sweep and collect all the dirt that is loose on the floor.
Now yes, we give the entire floor a good watering and, while it is soaking, we pour the cleaning product into the bucket, preparing it according to the instructions on the container. It is important that you choose the right product for the floor of your patio or terrace.
Once prepared, we wet the bristle brush and vigorously rub the floor until all the dirt has been removed.
You will have to change the water several times since, in addition to wearing out, every time we put the brush, it leaves dirt behind.
In addition, most likely, there will be areas that we will have to clean “by hand” using the scraper.
Without a doubt, this is the hardest, most tedious and exhausting part. With all certainty we will have to give more than one pass and insist, even more, in some areas in which, for example, verdina has come out during the winter.
Once all this is done, we give a good watering so that all the dirt that we have started goes down the drain.
The most efficient alternative
However, we have another much more comfortable option, and in which it is not necessary to invest as much time as in the traditional method.
