I can assure you that it will take longer to write this post than the one I have used in the craft that I want to show you. This month the Papelissimo Challenge It consisted of making a pinwheel, so it occurred to me that I could use it as an ornament to make some cardboard earringsthe best of all is that in 5 minutes they were finished.

I have always liked windmills so this craft was one of my pending tasks for a long time. They are very easy to do, and if we know how to choose the colors we can obtain beautiful results with very little effort.

Materials

These are the materials What are we going to need to make these pinwheel shaped earrings:

CardboardI recommend that it be a cardboard that has a different pattern on each side so that the pinwheel is more attractive.
Scissors or cutter to cut.
A ruler or square.
Craft glue or hot glue gun.
Button, bead or charm to decorate the grinder (I used some stars).
earring hooks.
Hole punch or hole punch.

Advice: If you don’t have cardboard with a different pattern on each side, you can join two cardboard with double-sided tape. Another option is to use plain colored cardstock and decorate each side with washi tape.

Step by Step

As I have already mentioned, the step by step is very simple:

1º.- A cut cardboard square 5 centimeters on each side, although the size will depend on how big you want the earrings to be. Next with a pencil and a ruler draw the diagonals of the square without reaching the center, leaving a distance of approximately half a centimeter.

2º.- Then drawn lines are cut with scissors and with the hot glue gun the corners of the square are glued in the centeralternating one corner yes and another no.

3º.- Next the bead adheres just above where the corners have been met to embellish the join. I have placed some stars but a button, beads, stones, etc. can be used.

4º.- Finally, with a pliers punch a small hole is made on one of the blades of the mill to be able to pass the hook of the earring.

Following these steps and in less than 5 minutes I had finished my cardboard earrings, unique and very original.
