Materials needed to wrap gifts creatively

A few days ago I told you that I am going to start publishing a series of posts with Simple crafts that can inspire you to give this Christmasbut I would also like to give you gift wrapping ideas because if you have dedicated your time and creativity to make a personalized DIY gift, you are not going to wrap it in any way, right?

I like to give gifts and I usually spend time looking for them and choosing them or making them myself but I have to admit I don’t take much care when it comes to wrapping them, I usually end up buying the typical iridescent wrapping paper or the Chinese bag but this year I have proposed to improve this aspect.

The fact of wrap gifts decoratively or creatively It doesn’t have to take us a long time if we have the right materials. The person who receives it will not only be pleasantly surprised, but will also surely appreciate the detail and care of a careful presentation.

With a little practice you will realize that the time spent is really not so much for the result that is obtained.

Make a note so that the next time you give a gift they are left with their mouths hanging open before opening it.

The Kraft paper it is resistant, recyclable and economical (a roll of 1 by 2 meters costs 60 cents). It will also provide us with an ideal neutral base to develop our creativity and customize it with different accessories.

Another of its advantages is that we can write on it, stamp stamps, we can even apply stitching with the sewing machine and make beautiful and colorful envelopes.

If you combine several colors or different types of ropes, the effect will be much more decorative. You can also create shapes with string or lace to decorate the kraft paper.

We already know that washi tape gives a lot of play in decoration but it is also the ideal complement for wrapping gifts. We can use it both as a substitute for the tape and to decorate the paper or create decorations (garlands, shapes, etc.).

Combining different designs of washi tape and kraft paper we will easily get unique and personalized wrapping for our gifts.

With plain or patterned cardboard you can make multiple ornaments and personalized labels. The cardboard will help us create beautiful decorations for any time of the year depending on the design of the shape or figure that we cut out.

They also give a lot of room to create labels that we can personalize by including a message or writing the name of the recipient of the gift, something very useful so as not to get confused when it comes to distributing gifts.

Buttons, beads, scraps of fabric…

Practically any small object will serve to decorate the wrapping of our gift. I have the habit of saving the buttons and decorations of old clothes before making them rags, as simple as they are, if they are combined in the right way, they can give rise to really beautiful wrappers.

Beads from necklaces, earrings or bracelets that we no longer use or that have been broken can also be used.
