Recycled ceiling lamp

Ceiling lightwith an exquisite design, made by means of the recycling of tetra-packs. The disposition of the different pieces that compose it, projects some impressive games of leftovers.

A brilliant idea, a lot of patience and little else.

Ceiling lamp recycling packaging 1

1) The tetra-packs are cut into a rectangle shape with scissors.

two) Each piece is folded into triangles.

3) Then 6 triangles are joined, forming hexagons. It can also be done by forming pentagons instead of hexagons.

4) All the hexagonal pieces are assembled and glued, forming a sphere.

5) The socket with the bulb is inserted, and it is hung from the ceiling.

The play of shadows it projects is Spectacular.

YoInstructions for integrating the electrical mechanism

In any brico Whatever you do, there are always infinite ways to do it, and they can all be just as valid.

Next we are going to explain a way in which you can integrate in the balloon of the lamp the electrical mechanism.

We are going to analyze each one of the components of the following image, which corresponds to the profile of the lamp. We’ll start from the bottom up:

1)Bulb. Remember that in lighting elements with materials of this type, you should never use incandescent bulbs, since they give off a lot of heat. In addition to this, you should greatly limit the continued use of the lamp, keeping it connected for a few minutes at a time at most.

2) Cap. Where will the bulb be screwed in?

3) The middle part is a PVC tube. The diameter of which will depend on the outer diameter of the bulb socket, since the latter must enter the tube leaving enough clearance.

In this way, the tube will act as a chimney, causing the heat given off by the cap to be eliminated through the upper part of the tube.

The length of the tube will depend on the diameter of the lamp globe. You will have to do the calculation so that the bulb is located approximately in the center.

4) Through screw from side to side of the tube. This screw, which will have its corresponding nut so that it does not come out, will serve to:

  • On one side hook a finite steel cable or some other resistant material that supports the weight of the lamp.
  • And on the other hand, to hook the electric cable and, in this way, the bulb does not hang down.

The screw should be located a little higher than the middle of the tube.

5) Hexagons. The PVC pipe will have a row of hexagons fixed around itself. This fixation can be done with some type of adhesive, staples or both at the same time.

In this way, we can extract the electrical mechanism at any time to change the bulb.

.

Once all this is done, we are going to see how to make the union between this part and the lamp globe. This union will not be fixed, it will be removable so, as we have said before, the bulb can be changed. Let’s analyze the following image, which corresponds to the lamp seen from above:

1) The parts that appear in red are the fixed joints made, as we have said, with adhesive, staples or both.clip Ceiling lamp recycling container

two) The elements that appear in green are metal clips used in office supplies, like the ones that appear in this photo.

The size of these clips should be as small as possible, so that they are not visible from any angle.

The rest of the lamp is to make it by joining the different hexagons.
