Ideas to recycle glass jars

The other day I wrote to you about how to remove the labels from glass jars since the vast majority of them are reused to store food. However, the Glass jars They can be recycled in many ways to be able to take advantage of them and give them different uses. Keep reading and you will surely be surprised.

To transform a glass jar in a nice container to store your brushes and makeup brushes all you need is craft glue (for example Mod Podge) and glitter.

The first thing you have to do is fill 1/4 of the jar with the glue and glitter. Next, carefully tilt the jar until all the walls are impregnated with the mixture and let it dry. Finally you can put a satin ribbon to decorate it and make it look like in the photo.

Another way to reuse glass jars is to make a wall container to organize our desk and have on hand the utensils that we use frequently. For this we will need jars with a wide mouth (so that our hand fits) and a wire that we will wrap around the neck and with which we will make the handle to hang it from the hanger. We can reuse a coat rack that we already have or make one like the one in the photo, lining a board and placing some knobs.

With small glass jars we can make a nice and cheap detail for weddings, baptisms, communions, birthdays, etc. For this we will need silicone and beads for jewelry. We apply the silicone with the gun, as if we were decorating a cupcake, then we add some small beads to give it color and we crown it with a ball (a large pearl for jewelry can be used). If we add a ribbon and some sweets, we will have achieved a nice detail for the little ones at the party.

An original base for a shelf

We can also make a original base for a shelf with glass jars. To do this we must screw the lid to the shelf so that it is well attached and decorate it by painting the interior or filling it with beautiful details. In the photo we can see how the jar-base has also been used as a vase, creating a beautiful combination.

Although Christmas is still far away, we can practice making our own snowball with a glass jar. For this we will need a Christmas figure (tree, Santa Claus, etc.), waterproof glue (epoxy type) to stick the figure to the lid, glitter and fill the jar almost completely with water. If you can also get liquid glycerin, much better, since in this way the glitter falls more slowly and the effect is more beautiful.

UPDATE: Don’t miss out on how to recycle glass bottles to turn them into a vintage vase (you can see the step-by-step at this link) or a mosaic vase (you can see the step-by-step at this link).
