Line a wooden box with fabric step by step
For cover a wooden box with cloth the steps detailed below have been followed:
- Remove the fittings to separate both parts of the box. In this case, the hinges and latch were embedded in the wood, so a spatula was used to pry them out.

- Screw the 58 cm long slat in an “X” shape, with the 20 and 30 cm ones so that the upper part is 38 cm wide.
- Place the two crosses in parallel and screw four 30×2.5×1 cm strips, two of them to the upper part and the other two to the lower part.
- Paint and varnish a shade that matches the fabric-lined box. In this case, a gray color has been chosen that is also neutral and combines with everything, it is perfect for the geometric print fabric with which the bottom of the box has been lined.
